Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate
Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate is a cinnamon-flavoured chocolate used to make traditional Mexican hot chocolate. The packet contains size discs which can each be broken into eight segments.
To make authentic Mexican hot chocolate, add two segments to almost-boiling milk, and use a hand blender or traditional molinillo to create frothy ‘champurradas’. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for an authentic, Aztec twist.
The chocolate can also be used in mole sauces where drinking chocolate is specified or to accompany fried churros, popular throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
Ingredients: Sugar, cocoa paste, soy lecithin, vegetable fat, artificial flavour, polyglycerol polyricinoleate (E476), cocoa powder
