Use Cool Chile Company’s Habanero Chile Flakes to add a real punch to your recipes. Habanero is a famously hot chilli with notes of tropical fruits and citrus. The heat is strong, but short lived.They are the hottest chilli grown in Latin America – and habaneros are also the oldest cultivated plant in the Americas, dating back 9,000 years.

How to use habanero flakes

Simply sprinkle the diced habanero chilli into the pot during cooking. Alternatively, you can toast the diced chilli briefly in a dry pan to release its flavours, then soak it in hot water for 10 minutes before puréeing with some of the soaking liquid.
