Whole Chinese Mixed Spice

This whole Chinese mixed spice is a colourful and fragrant mix of fennel, star anise, liquorice root, sichuan pepper, cassia bark, orange peel, bay and black cardamom. Fill a spice infusion bag with the Chinese mixed spices and use as a bouquet garni, or simmer the whole Chinese mixed spice with Chinese rice wine and soy sauce to create a full-bodied marinade – perfect with a variety of Chinese braised dishes, or even BBQ pork.
