Somen noodles are very fine, wheat flour noodles often served cold, with a tsuyu sauce. A tradition has evolved in some Japanese restaurants where the somen noodles flow past diners in half-cut bamboo gutters, and are plucked out of the cold water to be eaten.

The delicate somen only take 2 minutes to cook, and can be served in soups and stir fries, as well as cold salads. Try tossing them in a little soy and wasabi straight after draining, and using them as a bed to serve red meat on.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, water, salt. Contains wheat, gluten.
