Virgin Coconut Oil 500ml

Coconut oil is extracted from the flesh of cold pressed organic coconuts, to give a 100% natural creamy, delicately scented oil. Because the coconut oil is cold pressed, it keeps it’s delicate coconut aroma and flavours. Cocowel organic coconut oil is unrefined, unbleached and contains no genetically modified ingredients.

The white, creamy coconut oil is often used in south Asian cooking as a replacement for other cooking oils– particularly curries and stir fries. By gently heating the coconut oil, it liquifies, like a traditional frying oil, and enhances dishes with delicate coconut-flavours. The oil can also be used in baking, and is an especially useful as an alternative to butter or lard when making pastry, cakes and cookies for vegans or people who are allergic or intolerant to dairy products.

Coconut oil is also widely used renowned for its uses in body care and beauty – popular as a moisturiser, in haircare, and as a massage oil.
