Italian Porchetta
SKU: N/AQuite simply, porchetta is a large boneless suckling pig which is rolled with garlic and fennel and then roasted in a wood-fired oven. While few of us have wood-fired ovens at home, attempting to roast a whole boneless suckling pig at home is slightly daunting, so I’ve taken the flavour profile of a curbside porchetta and used a much more manageable 6kg pork shoulder which you’ll find much easier at home.
Fennel really is the star of a porchetta, but unlike most fennel recipes, this one omits the fennel bulb altogether and uses fennel fronds and stalks to sit the porchetta on. You can save the bulbs for a fennel and orange salad to accompany the meal. You’ll need to buy fennel with the stalks and fronds attached, so it is probably best to buy from a market or local grocer if your supermarket removes these parts.

Lamb Dumplings in Greek Yoghurt (Shish-Barak)
SKU: N/AThese ravioli-like dumplings are stuffed with seasoned minced lamb and onion, cooked in a Greek natural yogurt stew, and topped with pine nuts, fresh coriander, and garlic. Serve with rice or bulgur.
Shish-Barak is a traditional Levantine dish. There are several theories about the origin of this dish, one of which claims that it was invented in Hama city in Syria, while another claims that it dates back to the Ottoman era. Arabic etymologists believe the word ‘shish-barak’ derives from ancient Persia, specifically from the word joshpara, where ‘josh’ means ‘to boil’ and ‘para’ means ‘bit’. This word was commonly used prior to the 10th century, when it was replaced by the modern Persian name gosh e-barreh, meaning ‘lamb’s ear’. The Arabic name shush-barak or shish-barak is one of the many versions of the name in various languages.

Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake
SKU: N/AA simple, elegant, creamy dessert. This cheesecake could become your signature dish for dinner parties, for your besties birthday or to bring to your grandmothers for afternoon tea. The ricotta in this recipe keeps the cheesecake on the lighter side, while the lemon and greek yoghurt add a delicious tang that cuts through the richness. You could use other citrus fruits like lime, orange or grapefruit, or leave out the citrus and add a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
The key to a perfect baked cheesecake is temperature control. It should be baked at a low temperature to make sure it cooks evenly without cracking. Cooling the cake also needs some attention. Once you’ve finished baking, turn off the oven, and open the door, but leave the cake in there to cool. Don’t plans to cook a Roast Dinner after you’ve made a cheesecake!
We like to serve this with a blueberry or raspberry compote, but fresh passionfruit or strawberries and icing sugar would also be lovely.
Happy baking x

It’s packed with flavour, protein-rich (about 30g per serve), and perfect for meal prep. If you love bulgogi but don’t want to mess around with slicing steak, this mince version is your new best mate.

Labneh
Making your own homemade Labneh is not only super simple and delicious, it’s so much cheaper to do! It is essentially strained yogurt, and the longer you keep straining it, the thicker the labneh will be. You can store any excess labneh in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Serve it with fresh mint or oregano and plenty of good quality extra virgin olive oil. Labneh requires a minimum of 24 hours to strain, so ensure you keep that in mind before preparing and serving.

Lamb Dumplings in Greek Yoghurt (Shish-Barak)
These ravioli-like dumplings are stuffed with seasoned minced lamb and onion, cooked in a Greek natural yogurt stew, and topped with pine nuts, fresh coriander, and garlic.

Lamb Ragu with Pappardelle
This delicious slow-cooked lamb ragu will become a staple in your kitchen. Simple ingredients, easy to prepare, then allow to cook low and slow until the magic happens. This ragu makes enough for 8 serves, so invite your pals over for dinner or do a Sunday batch cooking session and set yourself up for a week of hearty, nourishing dinners. Serve with pappardelle pasta, polenta, mashed potatoes, or with good quality bread and salad.

Lamb Tagine with Prunes & Fresh Turmeric
Laden with spice and dried fruit, this tagine makes a hearty winter meal. Serve it with couscous, brown rice, or try freekeh, a smoky green wheat from the Middle East.
And if you have time, marinate the meat in the spice mix overnight; the extra flavour really does make a difference.

Lasagne
A homemade lasagne is a true labour of love. There are three parts to lasagne making – the bolognese sauce, the béchamel, and the assembling. If you’ve never made one before, I recommend you make the bolognese sauce beforehand (it lasts well in the fridge and freezer), and then on lasagne making day, all you have to do is whip up the béchamel and assemble.
Take a lasagne to someone’s house as part of a celebration lunch or make one to feed a bunch of friends. They’ll love you forever!

Lebanese Chicken Skewers (Shish Tawook)
These Lebanese chicken skewers are iconic for a weekend barbeque, however they also work so well cooked on a hot griddle pan for an easy mid-week treat.
This recipe will make 15 skewers and don’t be afraid to use different cuts of chicken, such as breast, or just marinate and grill drumsticks and wings.

Lebanese Vermicelli Rice
This rice with vermicelli noodles is quite traditional and unique to Lebanese cooking in that it pairs with our weeknight stews and traybakes. The hints of ghee would make it a great rice to accompany your favourite curry too.

Lemon Delicious Pudding
The magic in this old-fashioned pudding lies in the way it goes into the oven as one mixture and emerges as a gorgeous light sponge sitting over a creamy, mouth-enlivening sauce. This is one pudding that will always please.

Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake
A simple, elegant, creamy dessert.

Serve Green Rice with marinated chicken, or fish, as the base of a Taco Bowl, or with fried eggs and slices of avocado.

I love salads, but only if they are hearty, jam-packed with flavour, served with a good amount of protein, and paired with a tasty, punchy dressing. The whole family ate this one! It was a winner—the crunchy rice with the tender chicken gave a stunning contrast!

Hash & Eggs
The ultimate bougie breakfast recipe. Hearty and full of flavour, this recipe is a keeper for the next time you have a fancy brunch or needing a meal after a big night.

Herby Fritters with Green Goddess Sauce
There’s a tendency to think of herbs as only a garnish, a little bit of pretty green on top of a dish. At Clove, we believe that if you’re going to use herbs, we want you to taste them, and if you’re going to buy herbs, we want you to use the whole bunch.
Our herby fritters and green goddess sauce will make your herbs shine. So, if the garden is heaving with mint, dill, or parsley, or there was a 2-for-1 deal at the grocer, this is the recipe to save.
Fritters are a 24/7 type of meal, so make extra and keep them in the fridge. Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, drinks, a midnight snack – every time is fritter time. Plus, the green sauce lasts well and is delicious as a salad dressing, drizzled over grilled meats, or dolloped onto baked potatoes.
The herby quantities are suggestions only, so go rogue and use the herbs you have.

Herby Potato Salad
Potato salads don’t have to be drowning in mayonnaise. This recipe has everything the classic version has but is made fresher with loads of herbs, chopped pickles, and finely diced celery.
The secret ingredient is pouring pickling brine over the hot cooked potatoes and then allowing them to cool so they absorb the salty, tangy flavors.
Make this your own by using the herbs you have on hand, adding boiled eggs, or switching the celery for apple or thinly sliced fennel.
Potato salad is the people-pleaser salad, so learn this by heart and you’ll have a dish to bring to every occasion.

Feel free to experiment with different spices – try cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice or clove.

Hot Cross Buns
Don’t buy store-bought buns this Easter when you can make your own Hot Cross Buns at home! This recipe uses the tangzhong method to create super soft buns that will remain soft for a couple of days after baking.
The overnight rest allows for easier handling of the sticky dough and also means the buns can be cooked fresh the next morning.
Serve warm and fresh, covered with butter or toast leftovers under the grill the following day.

Italian Porchetta
Quite simply, porchetta is a large boneless suckling pig which is rolled with garlic and fennel and then roasted in a wood-fired oven.

Japchae Korean Noodles
These are delicious, packed full of vegetables and I love to top mine with sesame seeds, kimchi, and red pepper flakes!

Kafta Tray Bake
This is a weeknight hero in our house. I know this because every bowl is empty after dinner. It’s full of veg and plenty of flavour, and not only does it make the best leftovers, it freezes really well too. Traditionally, Kafta tray bake is served with Lebanese vermicelli rice.

Khobez Mekli (Fried Bread)
Fried Lebanese bread crackers are always piled high in the centre of the table whenever I am entertaining. They are so simple to make and seriously addictive, especially alongside dips like, baba ghanouj, labneh and hummus.

Kimchi Fried Rice
A jar of kimchi shouldn’t hide at the back of the fridge, bring it to the front and centre and start using it in your everyday meals. Kimchi is a really flavoursome mix of vegetables and spices so let it be the star of the show.
Fried rice is best made with leftover rice, so we often make this for dinner the night after a curry. We’ve added some fresh corn to this version, but you can leave it out or swap it for grated carrot, frozen peas or finely chopped snow peas.
Who knew leftover rice and half a jar of kimchi could be the most delicious answer to dinner!

Kitchdi – Parsi Style
‘Kitchdi’ is traditionally a dish of rice and lentils cooked together (and generally overcooked) and is made in many regions in various style, where the English version better known as ‘Kedgree’ originated from. The type of rice and type of lentils vary from place to place and therefore so do the flavours. Here is the Parsi version.

Italian Porchetta
Quite simply, porchetta is a large boneless suckling pig which is rolled with garlic and fennel and then roasted in a wood-fired oven.

Korean Beef Bowls
Sweet, salty, a lil’ spicy—these Korean beef bowls are a dead-easy weeknight win. Juicy, saucy beef mince cooked in a garlicky Korean-style marinade with sweet pear and goghujang paste, piled over fluffy rice and loaded up with fun stuff like kimchi, crunchy cucumber, and pickled ginger.
